Dermaplaning

With roughly 2 million Instagram posts tagged #dermaplaning, ranging from videos of the procedure to before and after photos, this skincare procedure has gained major popularity among beauty enthusiasts. Dermaplaning thoroughly exfoliates the skin using a No. 10 surgical blade held at a 45-degree angle to gently scrape the outer layer of the skin which consists of dull, dead skin cells. Dermaplaning helps minimize imperfections, removes fine lines while improving texture (think silky smooth skin) and removes vellus hairs! Dermaplaning also increases product penetration, so your results are instantly visible.

The Facial Manual Sculpting & Toning Techniques course is designed for licensed Estheticians currently working in the field of beauty, spa, massage, and/or holistic health and wellness. This non-invasive treatment is a great alternative to traditional beauty treatments like plastic surgeries, injectables, and the use of various toxic substances to delay the aging process.

Gua Sha Facial

Gua Sha is a massage technique using a patented white jade tool for facial and neck rejuvenation based on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) healing principles. This treatment is designed to relieve tension in the muscles of the face, boost blood circulation, and encourage lymphatic drainage to banish bloat. It helps break up fascia, the connective tissue that hugs muscles but can sometimes interfere with optimal circulation. The increase in circulation is said to increase hydration for that coveted youthful glow, and it even helps the skin to naturally purge blemish-causing dirt and oils.

  • I chose Atelier Esthetique because of their rating online. A past employee of mine also attended Atelier Esthetique and graduated and is currently working at a spa. The education at this school is great. Once I complete this program I hope to further my skills in the skin care industry and land my dream job and eventually work for myself and open a business.

  • Studying esthetics almost 10 years ago was the best decision of my life! I had been practicing law for 12 years, but I was very unhappy. So, I kept my job and started the part-time evening program to pursue my passion for skin care. I am currently in my 8th year of business as the owner of a top laser center in Midtown Manhattan.

  • I chose Atelier Esthetique because of their close relationship with European Wax Centers. I also liked that there was a two-week intensive New York State waxing license program. Someone I know who took this class at Atelier Esthetique and recommended it to me.
