Instruction Guide
for SLM Applications Online
1. Go to
slmfinancial.com
and select SLM Educational Loan link.
2. Under the heading
"Career Training Loans" select "Apply Now".
3. If this is a new loan
click on "Begin Loan Application".
4. From the drop down box
select the appropriate state (NY).
5. From the drop down box,
select the school. We will be listed as:
a. Atelier Esthetique Institute of Esthetics - New York, NY

6. Enter the loan
information:
a. Loan amount
b. Repayment terms
(years)
c.
Interest only (up to 12 months while in school)
d. Tuition amount
e. Class start date
f. Class end date
g. Additional expenses
(up to 60% of tuition)
h. School disbursement
date
i.
School disbursement amount
7. Student information:
Name, DOB (date of birth), SS# (social security number)
a. Yes / No if
student is / is not borrower.
8. Borrower's
demographic information (address, rent, employer, references, etc.)
a. Yes / No if
there will / won't be a co-borrower.
b. This will determine
whether you fill out another page of demographics or go straight
to the finish.
9. When all the
information is in, you will review the details of the loan. Read in
full, make sure it's correct, select "agree".
At this point the web will
begin processing your information, it could take 5 seconds or more,
wait.
You will receive your
decision: Yes / No / Pending.
Loan documents will follow
- probably the next day.
